Details like the clasp makes this look unique and designed (as opposed to mass market trinkets) - in fact, I love the clasp since so many beautiful necklaces are marred by the choice of a modern clasp, and this one just is so wonderful that I feel like you can wear you hair up and still make a statement from front and back.

The choice of a metal gives it an old world feel, especially combined with the red stones. Red stones are so often paired with gold, but the tarnished silver look is a striking contrast. However, the stone settings do diminish the overall look a bit, giving everything an inexpensive feel.

Still, it's a good look, being both bold and feminine. I love when large statement pieces manage to exude an aura of delicacy and femininity.
