This style of jewelry has been done on many occasions, but I have to say though this same color scheme has been used before, the execution is lovely. I would even opt for going all the way with this piece and mounting it on a lovely black lace choker or velvet as opposed to chain. I think it would accent it nicely. If you ever decide to do a follow up or a sister piece, I would also suggest playing with new color schemes. Blue, gold, and white are also commonly used, but would look nice with this layout. If you want to try something entirely new, maybe even some autumnal colors would accent this piece nicely.
